A native of Denver, Colorado, Mike Whicker now resides in Evansville, Indiana,
where he teaches high school English and creative writing at F.J. Reitz High
School. He and his wife, Sandy, have raised five children and are now raising
what Whicker calls a "worthless cat."
Whicker is a noted authority on the Third Reich, and he occasionally accepts requests by colleges and universities to visit classrooms and speak on
creative writing, or the World War II era.
Mike with daughter Savannah, who is currently serving in Iraq as an intelligence analyst for the U.S. Army.
