SIR,
I have “Invitation to Valhalla” and “Blood of the Reich” and I am wondering if you do some book signing in the Evansville area at some time?
Both books are great works of fiction and it is hard to put them down. After finishing “Blood of the Reich” I wait for the 3rd. part of the story.
Respectfully,
Detlef Alle

Hello Mike, I’m a friend and served with C Larry in Nam. I’m an avid reader and larry recommended your Vahalla which I found on Kindle Books. Great read. I lived in Indiana prior to my time with Larry over in the hot house that was SE Asia. Good work and I’m waiting for “Blood” to see how far Erica had to swim uner water to escathe FBI. My bet is she swam under the bridge and hid around one of the support piling’s.
Anyway – I’ll have a toast to you this evening after dinner.

Loved the “Reich” ! My dad worked at the shipyards before going to WWII. I also drink Double Cola! Can’t wait for the sequel to find out about Erika.
Kudos!
Mike: Please settle a point of disagreement for me and 2 other friends…we have all read both books re: Erika Lehman…at the end of Reich…the last paragraph leaves some doubt about who had ownership of ring…One friend and myself say that Erika owned it last…the other friend says Erika sent it back and Elizabeth had it after returning it to her grandfather….what happened to the ring? Is Elizabeth still living and will there be a sequel regarding Erika’s life after the war?
Your assistance would be greatly apprieciated…FABULOUS READS! Thank you for such wonderful books…
Respectfully
Pam Burns
Martha Bastin, who believes Elizabeth had the ring at the end of the book. and
Ann Stuart, who believes as I that Erika has it at her death…thanks….
Pam: Glad you and your friends enjoyed the books. Yes, Elizabeth ended up with the Ring of the Slain — mysteriously returned to her which she would never talk about. Elizabeth died in the late 1980s. Hopefully the answer to the Ring mystery will be in the third and last Erika Lehmann book of the trilogy which I’m about a third of the way into. I have to take a trip to Scotland in October for research on the Ring and another topic. We’re hoping for a spring 2012 publication. Mike
This may be my naivete, but how much of the story about Erika Lehmann is true? I’ve read both books recently, and as a student of WWII history, my imagination is enraptured by the possibility of it being true.
I just finished reading Blood of the Reich and wish to thank you for writing such a fantastic story. Please, please write a follow up about Erika in Germany. I am so in love with her character. At this time I am thinking which actress would play her in a movie.
I am a student of history, I have always had a particular interest in all things concerning WWII. I have read both of your Erika Lehman books as well as Proper Suda. To be honest Proper Suda’s appearance seemed rather lacking. I decided to get the book in spite of it’s minimal facade. I thought “seriously, that’s not even 200 pages”. I started it as soon as I got home with it. I read it cover to cover. I stand corrected this was a great read, only to be rivaled by your first two novels. I look forward to the third Erika Lehman book this spring.
Signed books by Mike Whicker can be ordered from the publisher (see individual book pages for details).
Books are also available from bookstores, and can be ordered online from Amazon.com and bn.com (Barnes & Noble).
Mike Whicker's books are also on Kindle and Nook.
